Event of the year? I think so!
I said it last year and I will say it again, this event encapsulates why I love my job.
Uni of the Court (UOTC) combines the best parts of my job… designing and creating content that brings our event to life, getting to chat with players from different Universities and of course getting to spend time with our Redbacks athletes.
But, what truly makes this event meaningful for me is sharing my passion and experience with the RMIT Sports Media team.
The crew was even bigger than last years, with 20 media volunteers circulating throughout the day plus 3 Work Integrated Learning Interns. They absolutely killed it this year capturing content, networking, learning, and just having fun.

I am so grateful to be in the position I am where I can give back to the same program I once started in.
I see myself in these students because once upon a time I was one of them and that’s why these events are so important to me.
People don’t see the behind the scenes grind of the sports media crew. They’re not just working their asses off during the event - they’re hustling before and after too. And it’s all volunteer.
So team thanks for showing up, being amazing, and listening to me yap on about content creation. You all crushed it (but I never expected anything less)!
Speaking of people who hustle - biggest shoutout to @mserruto for another successful year of UOTC and also @mitch.mang cause this event wouldn’t be what it is without you!
