On my Instagram page, I try to integrate my values and beliefs in hopes of inspiring people who come across them.
I aim to discuss topics surrounding my chronic health battles, being a woman in the sports media industry, and talking to inspirational/like-minded people.
I enjoy exploring different avenues of creating content and tapping into different communities outside of the sporting world.
Here are a few recent things I have made that resonate with me and my life.
WAKE UP AND LEVEL UP!

Some of the best advice I have ever received came during a challenging time when I was in hospital rebuilding muscle strength, and recovering from a spinal injury. My physio told me “The days that you are the most fatigued are the days you need to push through to see the greatest results from yourself. Those are the days you make yourself stronger.”

There were days that leaving my bed was a challenge due to overwhelming physical and mental fatigue. I grappled with frustration and tears, convinced that getting any better was beyond reach. Yet, each day, I forced myself out of bed and try recover.

Living through this has taught me so much that I now apply to my work life.

Levelling up is my motto. And to level up you must show up every fucking day, even when the world feels like it’s against you.

When things feel like they are falling apart, that is when the best version of you is about to be awakened. You just need to be strong enough to push through and get there.

Let people call you delusional for wanting to level up to places they can’t even imagine.

So, if anyone hasn’t told you today believe in yourself and get your fucking head in the game.
𝐃𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫: 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐮𝐧𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐮𝐩.

Often, my mind resembles a tangled ball of string, each string representing a different thought, idea or worry. Sometimes, when these strings start appearing all at once they become intertwined into this extremely overwhelming ball of knots and tangles.

You see, the thing about all these strings of thoughts and ideas is that even when I do have great ideas, the overwhelming amount of other thoughts they get caught in end up strangling my ability to pursue one of those ideas and actually be creative - and if you’re not careful this is what can lead to feeling like you are burnt out.

This Is why it’s crucial, both as a creative individual and as a human being, to have a space where you can disconnect and take a moment to breathe.

For me, this looks like being left alone in a calming space with some art supplies that are unrelated to my usual work. It is here I allow myself to be creative away from an environment that holds any performance pressure.

I am by NO MEANS a painter, but will I sit down for 4 hours and paint some shitty painting to give my mind some peace…absolutely!

Failure to give your mind a break inevitably leads to stress and burnout, impacting not only your work but also your daily life. Ultimately meaning it will prevent you from levelling yourself up.

So, make it a priority to protect your peace and engage in activities that offer your mind a much-needed break.
