I was so happy to see the RMIT Sports Media Program recognised and awarded at the annual Student Experience Network!
I joined this program as a student when it was first starting up. I began as a photography volunteer, then a content creator intern, casual staff member, and now working fulltime as Head of Digital Engagement at RMIT Active. It truly feels like a full-circle moment. Looking back at where I started and achieving this by 22, especially being awarded for a program I genuinely love, is something that brings me a big smile.

In 2025, the program grew to 60+ passionate sports media students who gained industry experience, built friendships and became part of something bigger.
Mentoring students is my favourite part - I was once in their shoes, and I hope to be a stepping stone into an industry that can be tough to break into.
